iOS4

iOS4 is the new iPhone mobile operating system from Apple. It will run on the new iPhone 4. As well as the 3GS and the 3G. It will feature things like multi tasking. Multi tasking is the ability to do multiple tasks at once. It will have a thing called categories that let you make folders and categorys to sort your apps. It has a new social feature called game box. This allows you to socialize with other people while playing iPhone games. Just like Open Feint and Plus+! This will be a great new software update from Apple!

iPhone 4

June 7th, 2010 Apple released the new iPhone 4. It is exactly the same as the prototype found in the bar back in March. The phone has a much better screen resolution of 960x640! It has a 5 Megapixel camera that also records 720p HD video. It also has a front facing video camera! You can imagine what this is for... Video calling!! The camera also has flash! On Apples tech specs it says that the new iPhone 4 includes HSDPA in the phone. This could mean compatability with CDMA companys such as Verizon and Sprint! The new iPhone has the same A4 processor that the iPad has. 1GHz! Apple has a special coating on their phone that makes it completly fingerprint resistant! The iPhone 4 will be available for purchace on June 24th!

iPhone 4G found at bar!

Recently an named man lost an iPhone prototype in a bar in California. A man picked up the phone. A popular gadget blog -- Gizmodo paid $5,000 for the prototype. They took it apart and used it. Turns out its real! It has a front facing camera, a second microphone, and a new body style! It looks very nice! The phone had a case that made the new prototype look like the iPhone 3GS. Soon after the blog post came out Apple started contacting Gizmodo for the phone back. Even more proof its real!

Personnaly I think it was "lost" at that bar by Apple for a publicity stunt. Because the amount of press and hype this just generated is incredible! This is totally to Apples advantage! I think the new prototype looks cool. At almost the same time the iPhone was found Apple released the iPhone 4.0 beta software to developers. Again. Another way this is probably another plot by apple!

Left 4 Dead 2 DLC Released!

Today April 22nd the new DLC (Downloadable Content) for the popular game Left 4 Dead 2 on the Xbox 360 and PC platforms. The new content is called "The Passing" Its on the Xbox Live Marketplace now for $7 and a free update on the PC. The new DLC includes a new Campain in which the L4D2 survivors meet up with the L4D1 survivors. The have a new Co-Op mode, something that they call "Mutations", a new Scavenger map, a new gun, melee weapon, new achievements and much much more!

Its a great expansion to the game. If you felt the game was getting a little old/boring this will DEFINETLY make you wanna come back and play for many more hours. Its definetly worth the $7 (550 Microsoft points). I think that this will also cause sales to shoot up. This was a very good move by Valve/Steam!

Stargate Resistance's Creators go bankrupt!?

A few days after the release of the new PC game Stargate: Resistance for the PC platform Chyenne Mountain Entertainment filed chapter 11! They are blaming their former chairman and CEO for this. As they claim he was using their budget and feeding his other companys with that money. You must be thinking "Wow this really sucks for everyone who just bought this game!" I was one of those people. Later a press release surfaced from a group of shareholders in CME. They stated that they and a bunch of the former developers will still be supporting the game and patching the game regulary!

They claim to be working on a new expansion pack for the game. This is all great news as everyone who bought the game wont be out their $20! The problem is that CME was also working on a second Stargate game called Stargate: Worlds. This would be a more MMORPG type game versus SG:R which is more of a FPS.

BFBC2 or MW2?

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 was on of the best selling most anticipated games of Nov. 2009. The game was a hit. Sold millions upon millions of copies in the first 3 days. 4 months later in March came its best competitor: Battlefield Bad Company 2. There has been a lot of talk over which is better. I will break it down into pieces. Modern Warfare 2 has a TON of bugs and different issues with it. It has a lot of stupid things and faults that make it more of an arcade game than anything. Its very unrealistic. It doesnt require any team work and is pretty repetitive. There are an excessive amount of cheaters and hacks being used in the game. The game is very unbalanced and not fair. Lastly MW2 is slow to bring out patches and they charge for map packs.

On the other hand we have Battlefield Bad Company 2. Even though it has a lot of bugs (but what game doesnt that just came out?) fixed a lot of problems MW2 had. Such as unbalanced weapons. Terrible spawn points. Hacks, cheaters, and glitches. when it comes to the PC versions unlike MW2 Battlefield has dedicated servers great community you can mod the game and everything PC gamers deserve in a PC game!

As you can tell I would definetly suggest going out and buying Battlefield over Modern Warfare 2. They are priced the same and battlefield beats MW2 in just about every area!

Nexus One a Good Phone Or Just Cool Wallpaper?

Googles new phone the Nexus One has been out for a while now. Currently supplied for no contract at a hefty $700 or through T-Mobile for $399. It will be arriving on Verizon and Sprint soon. Now as you may have guessed its main competitor is Apples iPhone. But does it really compete? Well googles phone has a 5.0 Megapixel camera a 640x480 LED screen and googles operating system. which in comparison to the iPhone seems quite impressive but there are also quite a few things the iPhone has that the Nexus doesnt. For example theres no Multi-Touch or great iTunes integration. It also has no where near the quantity/quality of apps that the Appstore offers. Although the Nexus has some nifty features like the colorful moving wallpaper and stupid little fun apps it will never beat the functionality and awesomeness of the iPhone.

Supreme Commander 2 FAIL

A few days ago the sequal to the 6 time award winning PC game " Supreme Commander" was released. Supreme Commander 2. This game was highly anticipated and had high expectatations. But it wound up a big fail. Part of the reason was the change of developers. The first game was developed by THQ as the 2nd was made by Square Enix. (THQ being the more popular developer) The sequal lacks most of the great features the first had. Its very waterd down and not very fufilling. The game was quite a dissapointment to me and most of the Supreme Commander series.

Supreme Commander was always a game set apart from the rest of the RTS genere it was a lot better. This next game is just like every un exciting average RTS. This was a great dissapointment. Square Enix really blew it on this one. Hopefully they will learn from this mistake.

fools: Apple replacing the iPod lines and endorcing Microsofts Zune!

This past week Apple released a very important press release stating that they will be canceling there line of iPods. They decided that there competitor Microsoft with there Zune is just taking over the market. Apple has given up. Instead they will be branding the Zune with the Apple logo and Name. "The Zune is just so much better than the iPod" said Steve Jobs at the recent press release. The new Zapples (Zune/Apple) will be starting at $299 for the 8gb no touch screen version. "Even though the iPod is the most popular MP3 device holding 3/4 of the market the iPod just plain sucks!" says Sarah Palin. They will be inacting this change with in the coming weeks. Apple will also be canceling all iPod support along with iTunes. In its place will be ZTunez. It will only be compatible with Zunes and the new Zune TV.

Real: Steam For Mac

Recently at the 2010 Game Developers confrences the legendary PC gaming innovator: Valve made a new announcement. They will be releasing there Steam client for Mac OSX. They will also be porting some of there most famous games such as Portal, Left 4 Dead, and Team Fortress 2, and of course, Half Life 2! The client is to be released in the beginning of April. There are already some small traces of Mac coding in the recent client updates.

This will be a revolutionary step twards mac gaming. Some of the best Pc games arriving on Mac OsX. Now with the new NVidia 9400m graphics in all the new base line macs everyone should have the chance to play. A company as big as Valve making Mac games may spark other developers to start developing games for mac! This will be AMAZING.

fools:God of War III Canceled for Telly Tubbies!!!

The new up and coming, highly anticipated, long awaited game God of War III has been canceled. Sony Computer Entertainment announced today that there new addition to the series will be canceled. Replaicing it with TelliTubbies World wide! It will be a new MMORPG where you can play as Twinky Winky, Laa Laa, Dipsy, and Po. And you run around the endless world playing with the sun!

Personally I feel that if there gonna cancel God Of War III then they should at least add an easteregg to let you play as Kratos (the main character from GOW III) and slay they Telly Tubbies!

fools:Sonys Next Gaming Console "Big Bertha"

This past week Sony Entertainment announced the future. The next gen gaming experience. They have yet to name it but it has been codenamed “Big Bertha”. The new gaming platform is set to replace the PS3 console. According to an inside source “Big Bertha” is going to feature a new technology in which the player will feel real pain and death just like the video game character! This will really change the future of video gaming! There will also be no controller… it will be mind controlled! Imagine games like Crash Bandicoot! This will definitely revolutionize the gaming world.

The only problem I have is the death part. This will definetly turn off a lot of whimps who are too sissy to die. Big Bertha will probably be somewhat of a hardcore gamers console. Games will be a lot more realistic. Games now a days sometimes have bad "life systems" like it takes 200 bullets to take down an opponent. Now it might only take 1 bullet to kill someone! Now all I wonder is how Nintendo and Microsoft compete...

Apples VS Bananas

Bananas and apples. 2 really popular fruits. Each are nutritious. But taste much different and look real different. They both grow from trees. They both have seeds and cores. But the apple has a tough skin and the Banana has a peel. Horses eat apples monkeys eat bananas. There both really important fruits.

In my opinion I like bananas more. They have a much smoother taste. After you get rid of the peel you have a delicious sweet banana to enjoy. The apple is a different story. You have to bite through that tough skin or you can take a lot of time to skin it. They do have many more flavors and varieties. Bananas are just one “flavor” banana. The apple to me doesn’t taste as nice usually. But then again there are times where I will prefer an apple over a banana.

They also have different health stats. The banana has a lot more sugar than the apple. BUT bananas can almost be used medicinally! Eating bananas can help with things like Anemia, Depression, PMS, Blood Pressure/Stress, Brain Power, Constipation, and Heartburn! So by eating a banana you are helping more then a crave you are helping many other issues.

So all in all I think bananas are much better. They taste better and are better for you. They help with medical problems and can make you happier. Apples are still a delicious food but I don’t think that they are the same. You also have to take a lot more effort to eat an apple! Pretty much I love Bananas.

Twitter Opinion

As you know many celebs such as oprah and aston kutcher even britney spears have recently signed up for Twitter. A social networking site to post status updates. I and many others [whome have been using this service for a long time for many useful purposes] are getting irratated at this. So many Celebs are now signing up and posting tons of tweets. Do you know how much publicity Twitter getting from this?! Now what used to be a what the hell is twitter is now a hey do you have a Twitter?? Most kids/people who are now signing up have no clue about Twitter. I mean they know how to use it but they dont all understand how it works. Anyone can now see there updates! Lets say Joe tweets: hey im going to [insert a local place here]! Now anyone who wants to can see that tweet and go to that place. The next thing you know "Joe Somebody" is on the news because hes been reported missing! Now this is a little extreme I definetly has the chance of happening. What bothers me even more is the fact that Twitter is most likely paying these celebs to sign up for Twitter! I mean Im glad Twitter is getting a ton of attention but Im kinda mad that people who understand these issues and use Twitter as a Social Networking site are not getting to use Twitter the same as now every other kid at school is going "oooh im sooo coool i have a Twitter"! Not just that but Twitter can get you into a tun of trouble if your not careful and I think Kids who dont understand the dangers should be on it. And with Celebs signing up its not helping....

Twitter Review

Tweet Tweet! With a 140 Character limit Twitter is one of the new social networking sites that is rapidly rising up to the top. Pretty much if you haven’t used any of its competitors’ services (i.e. Facebook, and Myspace). They all give you the ability to post status updates. Pretty much short things like “going to the mall be back l8r”. Or “I just took a dumb now i want cereal”. Twitter is mostley just that. Status updates. To send a “tweet” (what Twitter calls sending a message) you can either tweet from the website from your cell phone via sms even from your iPhone. (Just search “twitter” on the App Store and there are a gazilion apps available.) You get a limit of 140 characters (letters numbers symbols etc.) to state what your doing. You can get all your friends on Twitter and you all can follow each other. Following someone or followers are the people you subscribe to and the people who follow your updates. There are so many other things you can do with twitter. But one of the most amazing things is how many times its helped solve crimes save peoples lives and secret intelligence! There was one story where a college student was in Egypt on vacation and his peers all used Twitter and knew this. He got arrested for taking a photo of an aincent demonstration and taken to jail. He was able to tweet “Arrested.” to all his 48 followers. They called UC Berkeley, the US Embassy and a number of press organizations on his behalf. He got released. But if it haden’t been for Twitter he may not be here today! Still tweeting but now with 1028 followers! But even though there is many good that comes from Twitter there still are many bads. You need to be careful what you post to the inerwebz any way but especially something moving as fast as Twitter or Facebook is really dangerous. Like the guy that got a good job offer and he was going to take it. But instead he had to tweet “man got a great job that pays good bucks even though the work sucks”! He lost the job... Twitter is a free service that I highly recommend signing up for as I tweet always to my 300 Followers! (Sign up at http://twitter.com and you can find my updates at: http://twitter.com/dawildkid) Just make sure you are careful as what you put up there ( no last names no like street names dont say where you live and dont put anything that gives anything related to your location away.) and you will be fine!

Chopper iPhone Game Review

GameReleased July 06, 2008
David Frampton©2008
Majic Jungle SoftwareVersion: 1.0
3.0 MB$.99
9+ [Infrequent/Mild Realistic Violence]
Chopper is a very addicting game. With over 60 levels it entertains for hours (literally)! The tilt controls are very nice. not over sensitive and not really much getting used to. Which is nice because games like Monkey ball it took time getting used to and the first times playing it I was about to chuck it out the window!
The goal in this game is to pick up injured people or civilians caught up in the war and take them back to base/hospital. Along the way you are bombing or spraying bullets into your enemy.
The graphics are great for what it is. Its 2D but it still looks great. even the littlest things are moving and detailed. all the rain, snow, and even the little people on the ground waving there arms look great.
The price of $.99 is an amazing price (i think its more worth $5.00)
So all in all Graphics (for what it is): 4.5/5Controls: 5/5Cost: 5/5Fun/Addictiveness: 5/5Overall i give this game a 4.5/5I recommend this game to anyone who likes addicting games who doesn’t mind paying a small fee and likes stable controls!

The Digital Revolution

Cell Phones AIM the internet digital cameras and VOiP. This world is going funnly digtal. Technology is taking over. In alot of ways this is a great thing but to every great thing there is always a bad.

I for one am definetly for technology. I feel it makes everyday tasks easier faster and the finished product almost always turns out better. But alot of people do not agree they think that the old ways are always better. and in some ways they are correct. There are also alot more dangers in the world now. Online predators stalkers hackers etc.

Most teens use the internet every day. Quite a few have a myspace facebook etc. Since most kids are growing up only knowing technology to be at their fingertips they dont always know tobe extra safe. In my opinion more kids need to be aware of the terrors of technology but not be scared of it.

Using the internet to research a paper couldnt be easier. Now just go to google.com and you virtually have the whole library that you would have to travel 5 minutes to get to on your computer screen. The Internet is like the Industrial revolution all over again - except this time its more like the digital revolution.

So in conclusion I think more teens and adults too need to be more educated on the internet and digital activities but not be mortally afraid. Because for every bad thing out there there are atleast 2 great things!

Area 51 Mutating ANIMALS????!!!!!

AREA 51 MUTATING... ANIMALS??

Yes it is true. we have just got information [see attached pic] from an inside source that Area 51 has nothing to do with alines but a super high tech lab in which they are mutating animals. From the picture itlooks as if we see a Rino and a Giraffe crossed? And way in the front we have some sort of alligator tiger monkey?! This is crazy. For years we have all thought it was aliens... But instead who woulda guessed it was mutations!

Since the leakage of these photos the security has been extra tight. Guards everywhere. I think they know that we now know. If Area 51 has been going on for so long is it true that for them dolly the sheep is way old news? That they have already passed the technology of cloning? How will the people, Media, Government etc. take this? This could cause a great disturbance in the world. Protests and animal lovers all over the world will be on Dr. Phil complaining about  the poor animals. How do we know that this isnt a big chunk of the reason why are economy is terrible now?

Still so  so so many questions left un anwsered. Will they ever be? We may never know. But we do know one thing.... It has NOTHING to do with aliens!

Youtube Music Rules

Most (if not all) video sharing sites such as MetaCafe and of course YouTube have rules about what you upload in terms of music or movie clips. They are very strict on what they allow and what they don't. I put songs into many of the movies that I upload to Youtube. With those videos, Youtube either inserts advertising on it or they take down my video. I can understand why they do that but it doesn't always make sense to me. Why wouldn't a music artist want their music in someone else's video creation? It would surely get them more fans and possibly boost their popularity. The reason they don't want people using the music would be because the song doesn't belong to them. But how would it hurt them if you gave full credit to the original artist? The credit (that is clearly visible) could be in the annotations or in the description box or anywhere that everyone could see it. Because of that Youtube video, more people now know the original. They might even head over to iTunes and buy it and put it onto their iPod. And the original artist has now made more money than he or she might have made otherwise. I might not know all the reasons for why Youtube and artists don't like it but it seems to me that the artist wants to control their song too much. I think Youtube and the music industry need to ease up on that. Maybe Youtube could have a partnership with record companys so that as long as someone gives clear and accurate credit to both the record company and the artist, then the user could upload the video. Youtube is a great place. Many new artists wouldn't be where they are today without the exposure that Youtube and amateur video makers have given them. Esmee Denters (a current Youtube music artist with a debut album coming out) was discovered by Justin Timberlake when he was cruising through Youtube. Without different people posting videos including her songs, he might not have found her! So all in all, what I'm saying is this: I think the music industry needs to think about the impact that Youtube has on the music-buying public. Even my videos--in which I give full credit to everyone--get taken down every once in a while and it really annoys me—especially when it is one of my best productions.

Video Game Ratings!

After every video game as been written, designed and tested, it goes to the ESRB. They rate the video on many different levels. The ratings range from E (everyone), E10+ (everyone 10+), T (teen), M (Mature 17+). There is also AO (adult only) and you can imagine what is in those games. But there are, at most, 10 of those games ever published. What I am most irritated about is how they rate them. Games such as Call of Duty (the older ones) are rated T, but they still have bloody killing in a realistic way--as if you were really fighting in the war. Then you have Halo which is quite a fun game yet rated M. When you compare the 2 games Call of Duty is defintely worse. In Halo, you might be shooting and killing, but there is hardly any blood. You are killing aliens and there is nothing realistic about it. This really sucks because a lot of parents will NOT let their 6th, 7th, and 8th graders play M games. So Halo is off limits but parents will let their kids play a war game in which you can kill other people and see their blood! The most recent Call of Duty game is rated M and I think the game deserves the M rating. Not that isn't an excellent game, but I just can't imagine it being rated T. Call of Duty is not the only game like this. The new Tom Clancy game is T and I think it's probably as bad as Halo (which isn't all that bad unless you're against shooter games). Halo is still M and Tom Clancy is T. This really is annoying. Now Halo and other games like it have now built up such a bad rep as a really violent terrible game and yet Medal of Honor is still T rated, but has the same level of violence as Halo, Call of Duty, and the Tom Clancy games. But Medal of Honor has a good rep (not perfect but not as bad as Halo or others) so it gets a T rating. I don't think the ESRB can fix this now. But I definitely think that they need to start comparing different games before they rate any new games. And just so you don't think that I'm not singling out only Halo, Dead or Alive 4, Mass Effect, The Elder Scrolls IV, Oblivion, The Thief Trilogy, and Devil May Cry 4 just to name a few are also facing the same issue. All got M ratings when Call of Duty 2 and 3, The Bourne Conspiracy, Ghost Recon Advanced War Fighter 1 and 2, and War Hawk all got away with T ratings when they really deserved the same rating as the previously mentioned games!
